Department of Religious Education
The Church continues the mission of Jesus, whose teaching has come down to us through the Apostles. The ministry to catechesis serves the Church in that mission.

National .Catechetical .Directory Preface
In the National Catechetical Directory, Sharing the Light of Faith, the American Bishops call for four key ingredients to achieve the desired “ends" of Religious Education. Those ingredients are: message, community, worship, and service. The Religious Education Program here at the Catholic Community of South Baltimore strives to support parents in their role as primary educators, incorporating these key ingredients into our program. Together, parents, students, catechists, and staff, as a true parish community, strive to understand the message, work and pray together in community, worship our God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and call each other to serve according to our individual gifts and talents. |
