LAST DAY OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES

During the last week of June we enjoyed our br /> VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL.

The theme was “Pandamania, where God is wild about you”. We learned about five big statements of Psalm 139: God sees you, God hears you, God watches over you, God loves you (no matter what...), and God gives us wonderful gifts. Our crew, under the enthusiastic leadership of Zach Bowman, created a wonderful jungle scene with real bamboo. Everybody worked hard to care for the bible stories, the adventures, the songs and dances, games, and crafts that helped us understand the words of Psalm 139 even better. We had a wonderful time together, celebrating God's love for all of us and the whole of creation. A big thank you to all of you who helped and who attended to make this vacation bible school a big success and good experience for everyone, very big and very small!! Our beautiful scenery is traveling around to different Maryland Churches. Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Ellicott City and St. Michael’s in Poplar Springs will enjoy the jungle scenery created at CCSB. What a wonderful cooperation and how much fun and joy that will bring to many children this Summer. Thanks again all who were a part of this successful Vacation Bible School.

Department of Religious Education

The Church continues the mission of Jesus, whose teaching has come down to us through the Apostles. The ministry to catechesis serves the Church in that mission.

National .Catechetical .Directory Preface

InIn the National Catechetical Directory, Sharing the Light of Faith, the American Bishops call for four key ingredients to achieve the desired “ends" of Religious Education. Those ingredients are:  message, community, worship, and service.  The Religious Education Program here at the Catholic Community of South Baltimore strives to support parents in their role as primary educators, incorporating these key ingredients into our program.  Together, parents, students, catechists, and staff, as a true parish community, strive to understand the message, work and pray together in community, worship our God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and call each other to serve according to our individual gifts and talents.

Tuition 2010-2011
