Fr. Joshua Laws

Fr. Josh grew up in Baltimore County and attended St. Stephen in Bradshaw, MD. He is the son of Deacon Frank and Duffy Laws. He has a brother and two sisters, eight nieces and nephews, and lots of cousins up and down the east coast. Fr. Josh went to Loyola High School and then Loyola College in Baltimore. While there he developed a passion for rugby and for working with the poor and disadvantaged. After graduating from college, he taught religion and coached rugby at John Carroll High School in Bel Air, MD. He then went to St. Mary's Seminary and University in Baltimore City for a year of philosophical studies and then the North American College and the Gregorian University in Rome for theological studies. He was ordained a priest in June of 2015 and since has completed his Licentiate in Sacred Theology with a specialization in Spiritual Theology and then served for a year at Our Lady of Victory in Arbutus, MD. Before joining the Catholic Community of South Baltimore, he served as associate pastor at Our Lady of the Fields in Millersville, MD.
