Rosary congress - octave of prayer
October is the Month of Mary and this year is the 100th anniversary of the Fatima Apparitions. The Basilica is hosting an Octave of Prayer from October 7-13 whereby the Basilica will be open 24/7 for Eucharistic Adoration, recitation of the Rosary, engaging talks and special masses -- all to promote the Fatima message of peace. The world and our city so hunger for peace. For evening and early morning hours, there will be two security guards at the Basilica to ensure your safety. Sign up to participate.

The mission of Dynamic Catholic is to re-energize the Catholic Church in America by developing world-class resources that inspire people to rediscover the genius of Catholicism. The Catholic Community of South Baltimore is a member parish of Dynamic Catholic. Learn more here.
The Catholic Community of South Baltimore joins together three historic urban parishes to be a beacon of Christ's Light in our neighborhoods and beyond. Entrusted with this light at baptism, we go forth celebrating the sacraments, proclaiming the gospel, and serving the people of God.
Burying the Dead is one of the 7 Corporal Works of Mercy. The other works include Feeding the Hungry, Care for the Sick, Visit the imprisoned. These Works of Mercy remind us of the need to give dignity to the body in life and in death. The Body is the Temple of the Spirit since each of us are made in the image of likeness of God. The body in life and death therefore should be respected fully.
The Catholic Community of South Baltimore (CCSB) offers both daily and weekend masses across the three parishes of Holy Cross, St. Mary Star of the Sea, and Our Lady of Good Counsel.
Check back for specific schedules for other seasons throughout the year.
