Holy Days of Obligation

Typically, our Mass schedule on Holy Days of Obligation is:

• Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God (New Year’s Day: January 1)

  • 12noon at Holy Cross

• Ascension of Jesus

  • This feast day is transferred to the following Sunday in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, therefore no change to our typical Mass schedule

• Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

  • 6:30pm at Good Counsel - either the day before (as a Vigil Mass) or the day of - please check our calendar to confirm

  • 12noon at Holy Cross

• All Saints' Day (November 1)

  • 6:30pm at Good Counsel - either the day before (as a Vigil Mass) or the day of - please check our calendar to confirm

  • 12noon at Holy Cross

• The Immaculate Conception of The Blessed Virgin Mary (December 8)

  • 6:30pm at Good Counsel - either the day before (as a Vigil Mass) or the day of - please check our calendar to confirm

  • 12noon at Holy Cross

• Christmas (December 25)

  • Christmas Eve: 4pm Holy Cross, 6pm Good Counsel, 8pm Good Counsel

  • Christmas Day: 9am Holy Cross

Typically, our Mass schedule on federal holidays is:

• Thanksgiving -

  • Vigil Mass (on Thanksgiving EVE) at 6:30pm at Good Counsel

  • No Mass on Thanksgiving itself

• All other Federal holidays not yet listed above -

  • 9am Mass - location depends on the day of the week

  • The Parish office will be closed on federal holidays.
