Sacramental Formation
OCIA (FORMERLY RCIA); OCIC; ADULT CONFIRMATION
We’re so happy you are interested in exploring your faith on a deeper level. At CCSB, our Sacramental Formation programs include:
Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA - formerly RCIA) - for adults who are not Catholic or who have not received most Sacraments
Order of Christian Initiation for Children (OCIC) - for children who have not yet been baptized and/or received First Communion, but who are between the ages of 8-17
Adult Confirmation - for adults who are baptized, received First Communion, and are Catholic, but have not yet been Confirmed
If you are looking for information on Youth Confirmation, please see our Religious Ed page.
We welcome your exploration of this program - participating in one of these programs does not commit you to receiving the sacrament; instead, it is an opportunity to learn more about the Catholic faith.
Meeting schedules:
Each of these programs has a slightly different meeting schedule. If the days/times don’t work for you, we encourage you to please still register to participate, so we can discuss alternate options for participating.
OCIA: meet weekly on Monday evenings at 7pm, October through May - with sacraments received at the Easter Vigil
OCIC: meet once a month on Sunday mornings, date and time TBD - with sacraments received at the Easter Vigil
Adult Confirmation: meet once a week for 6 weeks, with Confirmation to follow. This will be held more than once each calendar year.
Faith is a journey, a road we all travel. Don't be afraid to take your first steps with us.
