Open Doors Baltimore @ Holy Cross & St. Mary

The Catholic Community of South Baltimore has been asked to participate with the churches of Holy Cross and St. Mary, Star of the Sea in the sixth annual Doors Open Baltimore, hosted by the Baltimore Architecture Foundation and AIA Baltimore! The churches will be part of the self-guided “open house” program. St. Mary and Holy Cross have been proposed for this year’s program because they had been built by and for the Irish and the German immigrants in South Baltimore. Doors Open will also link the two churches to their Itinerary on Immigration, to give visibility to the role of the Catholic parishes of Federal Hill in the past for immigrant communities and to highlight the present activities of CCSB as a living community of faith.
