Worried about identifying and responding to warning signs of depression, anxiety, suicide and substance abuse? The Archdiocese of Baltimore is providing training free of charge in Mental Health First Aid to any adults in our Archdiocesan community. The training is in Mental Health First Aid and takes about eight hours. You walk away with knowledge, skills and a 3-year certification. The training addresses signs of mental illness, self-harm, alcoholism and drug addiction in young people.
St. Thomas Aquinas in Hampden is offering training on Saturday, June 25, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. The class comes with two hours of pre-work to be completed online.
Lunch will be provided. RSVP by June 14.
