What is a small group? An opportunity to dive deeper into your faith and get to know other people in our community on more than just the surface.
Why might I want to participate? We had incredibly positive feedback after last year's Lenten Small Groups, and we hope this can be another opportunity for people to deepen their faith and connection to community. We had incredibly positive feedback the past few years, and we hope this can be another opportunity for people to deepen their faith and connection to community. Of those who completed our survey last year:
88% said this experience helped them enter into Lent
86% said this experience helped them grow in relationship with God
91% said it helped them deepen their relationship with our community and parish
Over 90% said they wanted to continue during Lent (and many also said they'd like to continue throughout the year, once a month, weekly, etc.)!
How frequently will the Lenten Small Groups meet? When and where and how long? Groups will meet weekly during Lent for about an hour. See days and times and locations below. This gives folks an opportunity to get to know each other in a more focused way and have deeper discussions.
NEW THIS YEAR: We are encouraging groups to start by attending CCSB's Parish Mission on Monday 2/23, Tuesday 2/24, and Wednesday 2/25. Therefore, groups will start their weekly meetings on Sunday 3/1, ending with Palm Sunday Outdoor Mass on 3/29 at 11am. This year, it's only 4 weeks - all in March!
What if I have to miss a week? Groups will start Sunday, March 2, 2026 and end the morning of March 29, 2026 at Palm Sunday Outdoor Mass (so no meetings during Holy Week). Ideally, participants will be able to attend 3 of the 4 sessions, but we know life happens.
Do I have to be Catholic or a part of CCSB to participate? No! Everyone's welcome.
