The Catholic Community of South Baltimore joins together three historic urban parishes to be a beacon of Christ's Light in our neighborhoods and beyond. Entrusted with this light at baptism, we go forth celebrating the sacraments, proclaiming the gospel, and serving the people of God. CCSB offers both daily and weekend masses across the three parishes of Holy Cross, St. Mary Star of the Sea, and Our Lady of Good Counsel. In June, the three separate parishes were combined under one legal state corporation and one canonical Roman Catholic parish.

Boiler Donations Needed
The parish unexpectedly had to replace the boiler at Good Counsel. Fortunately, this is a much smaller project than the one at Holy Cross. The boiler will cost nearly $35,000. We’re asking parishioners for help defraying the cost. You can give via Venmo (CCSB9), by credit card or in the offertory. Please make sure all donations denote ‘For Boiler.’ Thank you for your prayerful consideration!
CCSB Mission Statement
Since July, our three churches officially became the Catholic Community of South Baltimore Parish. These church and state law recognitions provide an opportunity for CCSB to redefine, rewrite and refocus its mission statement. In 2019, we will embark on this endeavor, providing opportunities to engage parishioners. The parish is looking for a steering committee to help craft the statement. If interested, please contact the office. More details to come.
The mission of Dynamic Catholic is to re-energize the Catholic Church in America by developing world-class resources that inspire people to rediscover the genius of Catholicism. The Catholic Community of South Baltimore is a member parish of Dynamic Catholic. Learn more.
new offertory envelope system
CCSB has changed envelope companies to one that is more affordable and efficient. Though parishioner numbers have changed, your gifts are still tracked in the database by name, not by number. If you wish to switch to electronic giving or have other questions, please call the office at 410-752-8498.
